A few days before Eric and Rita’s wedding I called her to go over some last minute details. At the end of our convo I asked her if there was anything specific that I should keep an eye out for. She replied ” you know, wedding blogs say to give you a list of shots, but Eric and I trust you completely”.
Son of a mother.
That sentence made my day. You have no idea how magical those words were to my little ears!
Trust is oh, so important in any relationship, even the photog/bride/groom one. I am incredibly thankful they trusted me to document their wedding day. Not only did I cry when they read their vows to one another and laugh when the maid of honor wiped Rita’s tears ( what a friend!) I was really touched when her dad sang to the newly-weds with a surprise mariachi band.
Oh, and did you notice how they are smiling in every photo? yeah, that was not staged. It was a smiling sort of day.
